Oh my gosh so much life has happened since we got home from Florence about a month ago! We moved, bought a house and are now in the midst of the very fun process of decorating that house and making it a home! So much more on that to come! But first, there are still so many posts I have left to do about our time in Italy! I never posted about our trip to South Tyrol in July so that is definitely up first! We took the train from Florence to Balzano and then rented a car and drove to Merano where we stayed at the Castle Fragsburg up high in the mountains. When I was very young, about 8 or 9, my family traveled to South Tyrol and we stayed at the very same hotel! It was so much fun to get the chance to go back there as an adult with my husband. They had renovated the Castel Fragsburg and it was as beautiful as ever. The staff there were so kind and while I was there I got the once in a lifetime chance to enjoy a flower bath overlooking the Merano valley. It was truly something that I will never forget and deserves a whole blog post of its own! If you are ever in South Tyrol, I would highly suggest staying at the Castel Fragsburg, the views are completely out of this world and there is really just nothing like it. We only stayed there for one night so we did not get a chance to go on a hike but if we ever go back, we would definitely hike in the area. There was so much to do there and we really just hung out at the hotel and did not even touch the surface of all the fun activities!
