There are few things I love more in life than a beautiful Christy Dawn dress. I just love the whole message and philosophy behind her brand. If you are not familiar with Christy Dawn- she uses dead stock fabric to make new dresses and pays her seamstresses livable wages in addition to providing them with health insurance. She runs a sustainable company that centers around honoring the people that work for her and create the dresses. I will gladly pay more money for a beautiful product that is created by people who are treated and paid fairly. However, because I know that some of the dresses can get expensive, there are also a few little tricks that I use to find the same dress for slightly less cost.
For example I wanted to buy one of her Basil dresses for months but decided to look on EBay and Poshmark to see if someone happened to be selling the dress in my size instead. Now this is a somewhat serious commitment and required that I spent a lot of time on eBay checking and doubling checking the website for weeks to see if something would show up. But all that time was not in vain! I finally found the Basil dress on eBay for a discounted price and totally love it. Total added bonus- it is perfectly maternity friendly. I am wearing the XS/S size here. I am also obsessed with any of her Paloma dresses, all of which are all totally maternity friendly.
