I am in the middle of “Everybody, Always” by Bob Goff and I just can not stop thinking about this book. Every single one of his books has resulted in a major sea change in my life. “Love Does” radically changed the course of my life and his new book is no different. I love how the message of his new book really centers around loving people, constantly and consistently without regard to whether they agree with us, like us, or are even remotely interested in our faith. Something about that message just hits deep into my heart because it feels true and right. He shares stories from his own life about just mind blowing radically loving acts that have convicted and compelled me to dream bigger about the ways I love those around me. I can not stop thinking about it. He casts such a captivating vision for what our faith should look like to those around us and I am just so thankful for the ways he has challenged and expanded my thinking about what love looks like. I feel my heart changing through his words. Is there anything better than that? He is just an ordinary man who has taken God’s words about loving others seriously and he is changing the whole world. I hope that even just a little bit of that extravagant love will be a part of my legacy on this earth as well.
