Over the weekend we flew out to Portland to visit family and our new niece! This was my very first time in Oregon, but more importantly our first time meeting our new little niece, who is just the cutest little nugget in the entire world. I absolutely adore babies and this little baby was just the cutest. I love how they just cling onto you and make the sweetest gurgle and goo sounds. While we were there, we had so much fun getting to explore the Willamette Valley (the wine country of Oregon). We visited a vineyard and enjoyed a glass of the Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. After spending a day out in the country we drove about two hours west to see the coast. We also got really lucky with some beautiful, partly sunny weather! One of my favorite parts of our trip was just driving through the Oregon farmlands out to Canon Beach. Oregon is so just so green and totally lush in May. It was so gorgeous. We walked Canon Beach and took pictures in front of the famous haystack rocks. The coast was rugged and the ocean spray painted the coastline in different shades of grey, light blue and greens. We were only there for about 2 days but we were able to see so much! I would definitely recommend visiting Oregon in May or June. This was just the perfect time to experience its beauty.
