It’s All In the Details

Homes really come together in the details. Although I am not yet in the stage of life to own a home, it is so fun to get the chance to peak into other people’s homes and day dream about how I will one day design my own home. It was such a blessing to grow up with a mother whose gift is making spaces feel comfortable, beautiful, tasteful and modern. I was so lucky to get to reap the benefits of her good taste! Making a space beautiful is not easy but my mom does it naturally. Interior Designer, Sue Ruge of Smalldoor Design, believes that good design is surprisingly simple. Her design is so successful because of her meticulous attention to proportion, scale, harmony between pieces and the importance of good detailing.

^^ The simplicity of this Quatrine reading chair provides the perfect backdrop for a bright, fun pillow or side table.  My mom loves using Quatrine furniture with her clients because of its simple chicness, high quality materials, comfort and adaptability.

^^ Here, the feel of the room changed with the simple swap of a pillow.

^^ The sweetest little breakfast nook surrounded by windows to allow for lots of natural sunlight.

^^ Love the simplicity and elegance in this clean white bedroom.

^^ Creating a bar cart is a great way to add beautiful detailing to a room.
