Crillon Le Brave

After passing through L’isle-sur-la-Sorgue we arrived at the Hotel Le Crillon Brave, a beautiful little place in southern France where the hotel is the town! Crillon Le Brave is an essential part of the village of Crillon Le Brave. The village is adorable and just extremely small. There is not much else there beside the grounds of the hotel. Every so often you will see a child biking through the little pathways between the rooms of the hotel because this is the little child’s home! It was so fun. Le Crillon Brave is totally gorgeous, very peaceful and had a wonderful view of the surrounding countryside. We stayed there for just one night and truly that was all we needed. There is not much else to do here other than explore the grounds and hang at the pool. If you are looking for a place to just cut off from the outside world and totally relax on some beautiful grounds, then this is totally the place for you. The service was wonderful and the grounds were totally impecable. The food at the restaurant was also amazing. I had some of the most incredible sea bass I have ever had at the hotel restaurant. The chef is world renowned and had previously worked at a number of different Michelin starred restaurants.

We loved getting the chance to relax and explore before we left for Saint-Paul-de-Vence the next day. If I could do the whole trip over again I probably would not stay here, even though it was totally gorgeous. I think I would have stayed another night at Le Bastide de Marie instead of heading back up north to this slightly more northern area of Provence. Heading back north to Crillon Le Brave made our whole drive to Saint-Paul-de-Vence about an hour and half longer than it would have been if we had just left from one of the Luberon hill region towns.
