Palm Springs- Part 1

We just got back from our first time in Palm Springs! This was seriously one of my very favorite trips. I loved Palm Springs so much more than I ever thought I would. I had heard that Palm Springs was just all old people and outlet shopping, and although that is partly true, I do think the town has gone through a really amazing resurgence in the past couple of years and there is just so much to do there! There are so many cool home shops and hip restaurants. Matt and I kept talking about how we did not have a bad meal there. Everywhere we ate was just so good! Plus there are a ton of fun outdoor activities and so many great hiking trails in the area. We stayed at the Parker and loved every second. I happened to stumble upon a really great deal at the Parker a couple of months ago, so we booked the trip right then and there. The whole 70s vibe there is just so much fun. It really helps you feel like you are in a totally different world and truly on vacation. We roamed the perfectly manicured grounds at night and lounged by the beautiful pools during the day. The weather was picture perfect. Warm and sunny during the day and cooler at night. The perfect escape from the snowy Chicago weather we are currently experiencing!

^^We ate breakfast at Kings Highway inside the Ace Hotel a few days in a row because we loved the food so much!  It is the perfect place to get breakfast or even dinner! The bar, The Amigo Room, also looked really cool and would be a great place to grab a drink.

^^ Hiking the Andreas Canyon trails, more on the hiking later this week! 🙂
